Communications Internship

General duties for communications intern:

  • Research and write articles for Advancement Web site
  • Research and write articles for Advancement publications
  • Prepare thank-you letters
  • Various other tasks as assigned, including some administrative duties

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A love of writing, with a focus on creativity and correct usage
  • Strong interviewing skills and professional technique
  • Knowledge of grammar and AP style
  • Analytical mind, be a self-starter and be willing to ask questions
  • Ability to work on deadline
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills
  • Should be prepared to work in a business environment and talk with major donors
  • Requires commitment to discretion

Details:

  • Internship is available year round
  • Prefer long-term commitment, would like to hire someone who can work at least a semester, if not longer
  • Intern should be available to work about 15 flexible hours a week
  • Position is paid
