Donors have several options in making a gift to VCU. Please explore these avenues and decide which is best for you.
Named gift opportunities
Endowed student support
Scholarships make it possible for many deserving students to attend VCU, as well as help attract the brightest, most meritorious students to the university. Endowed scholarships are created with a minimum $10,000 gift. The principal is invested and the interest of 5 percent is used each year for student support. These named, endowed scholarships last in perpetuity.

Endowed faculty support
Endowed lectureships, professorships and chairs are used to support distinguished teachers and researchers in strategic areas of the university’s curriculum. The principal is invested and the interest of 5 percent is used each year for faculty support. These named, endowed funds last in perpetuity.

VCU School of Business Foundation
Created in March 2005, the VCU School of Business Foundation functions as a charitable foundation to assist, support and foster the activities and mission of the School of Business at VCU. It solicits, manages and distributes current and endowment gifts for all departments and programs in the school. The goal of the foundation is to provide the VCU School of Business with the resources it needs to educate and graduate highly motivated individuals for corporations and businesses in Richmond, the commonwealth and beyond. Founded in 1995, the VCU School of Engineering Foundation is organized exclusively for educational, scientific and charitable purposes and to provide financial and other support to VCU’s School of Engineering. The MCV Foundation was chartered in 1949 to inspire and steward philanthropy throughout VCU’s MCV Campus. It works in partnership with alumni and friends of the health sciences schools, MCV Hospitals and the Massey Cancer Center.
