Scholarship programs

The VCU Alumni Association, the MCV Alumni Association of VCU and the African-American Alumni Council have established a variety of scholarship endowments.

  • VCUAA developed the Alumni Merit Scholarship Endowment with $500,000 in pledges and a $500,000 gift. It also supports the Alumni Association Honors Scholarship Endowment and contributes dues income to several current, school-based scholarship programs. In addition, the VCUAA has begun a legacy scholarship, which is available to freshmen who are dependents of active members of the Alumni Association.
  • The MCVAA sponsors several school-based scholarships and has contributed more than $500,000 to a variety of scholarship and fellowship programs in support of all the schools on the MCV Campus. The MCVAA offers a legacy scholarship to first-year students who are direct relatives of dues-paying members of the MCVAA. In addition, the MCVAA sponsors two scholarships for students who have completed the VCU Acceleration Program for underserved students.
  • The AAAC has established a scholarship endowment for VCU upperclassmen and another for an incoming freshman.
